(Stefan loved his father but not as much as his sister. He knew his father cared but it was never enough. He always felt like his sister was daddy’s favorite because she was trying to be an archer while he was reading books. He felt like he was never good enough for his father even though this was not the case. He was definitely loved by his father but he was young and foolish so he couldn’t see it. He hated feeling like he was second best and being bullied by other kids. Enough to run away. The truth was his father was not very book smart. He was smart when it came to hunting and tracking, necessary skills for a Gods’ Quiver, but his father felt he had nothing to offer to a boy who was brilliant for his age. He loved both of his children equally. Stefan understands this more now then he did when he was younger. He regrets some of his choices heavily. Enough for him to finally start coming around his family again years later. Running into his sister in Ul’dah years after their father’s death and learning it from her, was devastating though he hid the feelings well. The one thing he had always admired most about his father was the man’s determination to his work. He uses the same determination towards his own work.)
(Thanks for asking, @mugishalffull – Sorry I took forever in answering this. XD)
