((Haha. Forgive me. Used the profile you did for an idea on this one. XD @ishgardianscholar))
Destiney usually avoided Ishgard unless Lancefer was around. Having an Ishgardian cousin at least gave her some sense of safety from the rumors and drama that side of the family contained. Especially after certain members of that side of the family had hired some thugs to harass her when she ended up in the Brume at one point and time.
This time however she had gone without anyone at her side. At least now she was better able to protect herself then before. It still left her nervous and anxious to be in Ishgard alone though. Yet she needed to visit the market there for something specific. Probably could have asked Lancefer to do it for her. That sort of defeated the purpose of trying to prove she could do this on her own.
Apparently today the market had a small gathering near one stall. Something did not seem right. The crowd seemed both curious and worried. Curiosity and the healer in her won out. Carefully she wove her way through the crowd towards whatever was waiting on the other side.
Apparently a elezen man in his upper years had passed out in the middle of the street. The worried whispers of what happened. Whether the man was ill or dying. Destiney scooted her way between people and out into the space around the man.
“Move aside already! If you are not helping then quit gawking. Learn some manners! Unless someone is going to help move him then go back to your business.” Destiney scolded the people just standing there before grabbing the tome off her hip and kneeling down beside Maximiloix. Daisy popped her glittering head out from the pocket on Destiney’s coat.
The crowd slowly began to wander off as Destiney set about tending to the man. Checking his vitals first. A hand to his forehead. Finally a soothing glow around her hands as she set about working to find out why the man was passed out in the street. Daisy gently landing on Maximiloix’s chest to help with her own healing. A couple of knights finally showing up to help her move him to somewhere warm. Making sure they were careful with the man as they moved him.
Once he was moved somewhere warmer, Destiney returned to caring for him. Making sure he was comfortable and warm as she worked. Daisy kept an eye on him as she harassed the local chirurgeron for herbs or medicines. Giving the chirurgeon a hard stare when he tried to take over. Quickly shooing him back out to worry about other patients. “I have this under control. I’ll leave when I’m finished.”
Destiney yawned as it was getting late when she finally was satisfied Maximiloix would survive. Apparently he had exhausted himself for some reason. At least from what she was able to tell from her examinations. She quickly took a paper from her notebook in her pouch. Scribbling a few instructions even though she knew the chirurgeon would bristle at her giving him orders. Lastly she left a note that she tucked into the elezen’s robe pocket. Deciding not to linger any longer before the chirurgeon got really testy about her.
‘Ser,
Do try not to pass out in any more cold streets. I might not be around to be your saving angel next time. I hope whatever troubles you deeply enough to exhaust yourself, gets better. Well wishes.’
Destiney had also just had to doodle a small fairy waving down at the end of the message she left him. Satisfied she left to head home. Completely forgetting the shopping she had never gotten to do.
