The rules, under the cut…

Gin Mill’s fight mechanics are /random, Grindstone-style and the Pillow Fight will be no different: 

  1. At the start of the fight, both opponents roll /random for initiative/turn order. Highest number goes first and writes a “combat” description in /yell. 
  2. Both participants /random to see if it effectively hits or not, and defender describes accordingly in their next /yell post. If it does, attacker gets a point, if not, score stays the same.
  3. Round rolls over, Defender becomes the Attacker, they write description via /yell and /random to see if they hit, new defender /randoms to dodge.
  4. First to score three points is declared winner, and the loser can tap out, be knocked out, etc. as they see fit – this is considered OOC info, it doesn’t necessarily have to be ‘first to three hits’ ICly. (No killing or serious maiming without consulting with opponents and staff ahead of time. …Pretty please.)

Depending on how many fights or events within the event we have on the roster, there may be a 25-30 minute time limit, with the timer starting from first description posted. In case of a tie at the time limit, the next turn is sudden death.

Please keep /yell and /random clear of non-fight chatter for ease of determining score and keeping the night moving along.

There is an OOC LS in-game for fighter poop-talking, ring gossip and fight announcements! Just ask to be added.
