“What are friends for, ey?”

image

Destiney hissed slightly as she tested her weight on the ankle. Not broken. Thankfully. Mostly likely a sprain or twisted. An easy fix once she was not in the middle of dangerous territory. She tried to put most of her weight on her good ankle for the time being as she looked over towards her friend.

“Thanks for the save, Riski.” Destiney said with a pained smile as she nodded towards the other elezen. She waved a hand in his direction to dismiss any chance for concern on her behalf. “I’ll be fine once we get somewhere safe enough to take the chance to heal it. We should get moving before the rest of that wolf pack comes.”

She was a bit caught off guard as Riski moved to offer her to lean on him. Though honestly she should have expected it. That was just how he was. That smile on his face was reassuring as she accepted his offer.

“What are friends for, ey?”

(Thanks! @kibuto Hope you don’t mind. ^^;)

Bruised and Broken

“What are friends for, eh?” for… Lancefer.

image

(Oh this is going to be positively fun. Going to go in the past for this. Prior to the Betrayal prompt I wrote for Lance/Alexois.)

Lancefer wiped the back of his hand across his mouth, wiping away the blood from his busted lip. His breathing was heavy from the fight. Sky blue eyes staring at the two men across from him. Both sporting wounds of their own from the fist fight.

“Go on. Get the hell out of here before I give you another black eye, scumbags.” Alexois shouted at the two Brume thugs. “Or do you want more punishment. I can still go another round if you are looking for more bruises and blood.”

Alexois had a wild grin on his face. Knuckles bloodied but his eyes were alight with pure amusement. The thrill of the fight was burning in him. That much was clearly obvious to Lance as he pushed to stand back up from where he had fallen to one knee. He took to a fighting stance, fists raised as he stood beside Alexois.

The two men apparently thought better then to try Alex’s threat now that the odds had been evened. They gathered themselves an limped off back towards the Brume. Lance breathed a sigh of relief, body sagging and aching from the tussle. Alex was still grinning like a mad man. Halone help him for befriending the duskwight. The man was seriously crazy.

“Thank you, Alex.” Lance told the other man as he felt a hand clapping him on the back.

“What are friends for, eh?”

Alex said with a broad grin.

(Thanks Anon! 😀 Giving me yummy fun to write for Lance/Alex.)

Justice: What is something you’re muse is dying to admit or confess?

image

(Lance so badly wants to admit how bad things feel with his grandfather and father. He wants to admit how dangerous the situation feels. How desperate the situation is making him feel. He is even willing to disobey Tara’s wishes for him to wait a bit longer before challenging Nate to a spar despite the damage his shoulder took from Leera followed by his father reopening the wound. This almost goes back to the breaking point thing from earlier. So far only two people have managed to begin cracking the mask Lance wears over his heart. Tara and Miu. But only Tara truly knows the full depths of what is going on. Yet he still holds back on just how much he is willing to openly admit.)

The Star // The Hanged Man

The Star: If your muse had one wish, what would it be?

“I’m not big on wishes. Unless it is to be a successful mercenary. That is about the only thing I want right now.” Karigan idly tosses one of her knives in the air a small way and catching the handle again it as it falls back down. “I don’t care about the past. The past is the past. I got to think of the future, ya get me? An right now the only concern for me is getting to be a good paid mercenary.”

The Hanged Man: Name a bad habit your muse can’t give up.

“I don’t have no bad habits.” Karigan grins as she looks up an down the street. She winces as she hears an angry shout from the far end. “Okay… Maybe one bad habit… Getting in trouble. Or picking fights. Excuse me!” She laughs an bolts in the opposite direction of the two thugs coming down the street after her.

The Tower: What event would trigger your muse’s breaking point?

image

(Dest. Dest. Dest…. She has the most triggers out of all my characters. The one with the most emotional instability. The one who tends to break the easiest. Partly because she was already broken. So there are things from her past that still trigger her breaking point. The way she responds or acts depends on what event we talk about.

If we are talking about fighting people or going near as Castrum… Well those are some pretty rough triggers. They dredge up the nightmares/flash backs, shaking, near mental meltdowns. She is trying to find a way past these right now though with the help of Nate.

If we talk about arguments with people she cares about or failing at something… Well that is mostly hurt feelings and feeling as if she isn’t good enough. Usually this causes her to disappear off to the Shroud to hide or drown her hurt in drinks. Which she is a lightweight so it doesn’t take much. However! Depending how hurtful some of the words said are… She may end up with injuries. Sometimes preferring the physical pain over the mental so she won’t heal them right away. The injuries are never truly on purpose though. She is just reckless while emotionally upset. Which more often then not ends up with her getting injured somehow.)

The Tower: What event would trigger your muse’s breaking point?

image

(Lance can be a fairly strong character when it comes to withstanding against things. Of course he is far from invincible. Just does a good job not letting things show. He has gotten pretty good at wearing a mask with the way his family is. The thing most likely to trigger his breaking point will be family or failing in his duties to Hallienarte. Family means a lot to him. Even if there is little love from his immediate family. His service to Hallienarte also means a great deal to him. I actually have something planned in the near future that will test his breaking points. So we will see just how bad things get before Lance finds that breaking point.)

Wheel of Fortune: Does your muse believe in luck?

image

“If you mean bad luck then definitely. I seem to have a lot of it.” Destiney chuckles as she reaches up to put a book on the top shelf. The end result being a couple other books falling down, one smacking the top of her head. She glares at the offending books… “As I said… Though honestly I don’t believe it is all luck either. Some of it I believe is fate or the Twelve giving nudges in the right direction. It’s complicated.” She sighs an shrugs as she bends down to pick up the books off the floor.

“I’m still trying to figure this all out myself. Some of what I used to believe in, I now question. I blame those cards I found while on a mission with the Order. Ever since finding those things I’ve begun to question just what I believe.”

image

“Not really. I believe more in Halone then I do luck. If she deems something worthy of happening then it will happen. I’d rather not try to rely on something that seems so fickle. Luck seems to be as fickle as it comes.” He frowns as he continues to sharpen the edges of his sword. “Good. Bad. Luck has little meaning to me.”
