Karigan was walking through the streets of Limsa. She didn’t want to be here. Not in the slightest. Every moment here was another chance to run into her father. Especially if she happened anywhere close to the docks. However this was the nearest place with a market an she needed supplies. As well as to turn in an item for the reward it would garner her. Her hand reached down to where her pouch should have been. Only it wasn’t there.
“No… No. No!” Karigan groaned an looked around in panic. Her money pouch was gone… There was no one around who looked like they had just pilfered it off her belt. A curse worthy of a sailor uttered under her breath as she began to retrace her steps in hopes of finding it. Though she wouldn’t. Thankfully she still had the item in her pocket that she would need to turn in. Just meant a night sleeping under the stars to conserve what little money it would net. An trying to find more work quickly. What an unlucky day…
(Destiney knows a bit of various styles of dance from both traveling and from Leon. He didn’t actually teach her to dance but she did watch his activities at one point which sometimes included the girls dancing for him. For her the way she dances depends on why she is dancing. An definitely if there is anyone watching or not.)
Destiney looked around the house before walking over to change the music that softly flowed from the Orchestrion. Time for a break from work. With a smile she twirled away from it as a different tune began to play. She closed her eyes an hummed along softly as she flowed with the music in her own style. A mix of different things. Yet still graceful an sweeping. Dancing with an imaginary partner at one point even. Another twirl followed by happy laughter. Not like any known dances yet containing fragments from various styles.
(Destiney has never actually planned a murder. Not completely anyways. Not unless you count those Imperial Soldiers she murdered. Yet it was supposed to be a sort of Murder/Suicide. However there is only so much planning she could do with what she did. She had not had the information to plan more then the where an when pretty much. She tried to research the Garleans while in Ishgard but there was precious little because of how closed off Ishgard has been up to that point. Beyond that she is not exactly a violent person. At this point in her life she wouldn’t even plot a murder as a joke.)
(Destiney in general usually has a LOT on her mind. So when she does zone out it usually consists of her thinking about whatever is bothering her lately. If nothing is bothering her at the current time then she tends to think about books or something she wants to know more about. Or about what she needs to do still. For Destiney keeping busy whether it’s just in her mind or physically is something she has made a habit of. Leon once taught her to use distractions to keep her mind off the things that haunted her. An sometimes… *hides the pictures* She will think about a handsome/pretty elezen she has seen lately that caught her eyes. So in a sense it is really hard to narrow it down to anything specific for her.)
(Destiney has only really ever had two people in her life that mattered when it came to relationships. Most others had been one night stands or friends with benefits. Before Ishgard she wasn’t really old enough to be worried about dating. An after Ishgard she wasn’t in a good mental state to even attempt. The only real time she faced any real rejection in terms of a relationship was with Leon the night she was drunk an kissed him. He pulled away an gave her the silent treatment for a few days. Which that scene I wrote here.)
(Lance has recently been rejected. Granted Miu was very kind in the way she rejected him. She tried her best to let him down gently. As such the two of them are still friends despite things not working for them as a couple. I wrote about that event here.)
“Dekkarra has been with me since childhood. He has always been there for me through everything. An even though I was broken for so long he was still there. He might not have known how to help me but he did his best. So what I love most about him is the fact that he is always there for me. I still don’t know what I did to deserve someone like him.”
(Well… being that their living space in the house only has one bed. Unless someone is sleeping on the couch on the other side of the room, they sleep in the same bed together as much as they can. Of course that is nights when they are both home at the same time. So if they are sleeping separately it is only because one of them didn’t come home that night for whatever reason. Usually work related.)
Destiney folded the paper and tucked it under the small wrapped box on the desk. A soft smile before she turned an left the house she shared with her husband.
(Destiney and Dekkarra do not get to see much of each other actually despite being married. So most of the time it is small gifts or notes. When they are together they mostly just spend time together at their house with no distractions.)
(No not really. She is Gridanian born an raised. I’ve never really noticed an accent with them. Even five years in Ishgard didn’t change that. If Gridanians have accents then I guess she would. I can’t say I ever paid that close attention to notice.)
(He does! Lance is Ishgardian through an through. An it is clearly something you can tell when he speaks.)
(Kari does! She was born around the Limsa area but refuses to admit where. But it is clear in the way she talks that she has been around the ports. Probably because he father is a merchant and ship captain. So she has spent a lot of time around other sailors and such. Picked up a bit of the way they speak.)
(Destiney’s patience tends to vary depending on the topic or event. As well as her mood. The darker her mood the less patient she is going to be. She tries hard to be patient though. She sort of needs to with being a healer. Overall Destiney has a decent amount of patience most times. Especially with people she is trying to get to open up an talk to her. That is when she seems to have the most patience.)
98. Something that they regret?
(Oh goodness… Killing those Imperial soldiers outside of Castrum Occidens. Her first an only time killing actual people. While she doesn’t want to change the past anymore she does still regret that choice. She still can’t even go near the place. Yet. She just need a bit more time to come to accept what happened.)
44. Why might someone love them?
(Dest can be a very good listener. Caring and kind when she is around people she trusts. I know Chee considers her like a sister. So despite still working to repair the parts of her that are broken emotionally, she still has some rather endearing qualities as well. Heck those broken parts are what has made her into a more caring person. Especially towards others like Nate and Quarcy who she finds herself drawn to. Because she understands the pain even if it is not the same causes.)
75. How patient are they?
(Lance is actually really patient in most cases. At least more patient then Destiney. Unless it’s battle or dealing with heretics/dragons. He can be goaded into being less patient while fighting. Especially when he had his spar with Raiden. XD Raiden just kept pushing his buttons. But being from upper class society in Ishgard, he learned patience is sometimes better then rushing. It’s all a matter of how you play the game.)
98. Something that they regret?
(Lance regrets he wasn’t able to do more to aid in the fighting at the Steel Vigil. He was still in many ways still a novice at the time. Now he uses it as a driving factor to fuel his desire to see Haillenarte restored.)
44. Why might someone love them?
(Lance is honorable and respectable. He treats everyone fairly until they have given him reason to be any different. He is also a hopeless romantic when it comes to the person he decides to date. Which to this day has not been very many serious relationships.)
75. How patient are they?
(She’s not a patient kitty. Not one bit. She is headstrong and brash. Which sometimes gets her hurt or into dangerous situations. An sometimes her impatience will lead to her saying things she doesn’t really mean.)
98. Something that they regret?
(She regrets the words she said to her father before she ran away. Not that she will openly admit it. She does wish she could take back the things she said and did. But she’s stubborn an won’t.)
