old books: what’s one thing you don’t want your parents to know?

“Hmm…” She looks at the fire a moment as if it was more interesting then the question. “That I tried to kill myself. They would be disappointed. Even when I tried to reason that I was killing Garlean soldiers in the process. I know they would be disappointed in my choice. I am still disappointed in my choice.”

“I try to hide many things from my parents. I guess the biggest thing I don’t want them to know is that… I don’t care if the person I fall for is a man or a woman. I’m most concerned with who they are as a person. Not wealth or sex or anything of that sort. My parents still try to pair me with eligible ladies of their choice. I merely do what I can to escape from those pairings. I just keep waiting for the person I am going to love heart and soul. They only see it as I should be keeping the bloodline strong with a match of their choosing.”

“I…” Her ears droop against her head at the thought of her father. She shakes her head vigorously before crossing her arms. Her expression having gone from melancholy to angry. “I don’t worry about what my pops thinks anymore. I quit worrying the day I ran away. So even if he found out it won’t matter. So why bother.”

“Three wishes? Too bad such things do not exist. Though I will humor you an pick three things. However… I think I will avoid any involving things already passed. I’ve come to realize I sort of like where I am in life. If I changed the past I might not be where I am now.” A soft smile and shrug of her shoulders as she makes herself comfortable on the sofa near the fire inside her house.

“First I would pick… Hmm. Okay so staying away from past things is harder then I thought now that I think about it… Ah! A library all of my own. Between my house and my room at the Order I am about out of space for more books. For a second…” She frowns an bites her lower lip while thinking of an answer. “Okay this might seem corny but happiness for those I care about. Especially Nate. He’s become someone very important to me an I wish I could fix things for him. So I guess my third wish could directly be a wish for Nate. The second could be for everyone else. Yes that seems simpler. Especially since Nate’s problem is more complicated.”

  1. What position does your character sleep in? ( i.e; stomach, side, back, etc. ) Describe why they do this — optional.
  2. Does your character have any noteworthy features? Freckles? Dimples? A scar somewhere unusual? etc.
