If it’s family, you protect. Doesn’t matter who it is, blood or not.
Your eyes’ll tell it all, a window to the war that you’ve been through…
Destiney was frustrated to say the least. Not to mention running out of ideas on how to deal with his stubborn streak. Barely a response at all to her words. One very short sentence. Dismissive at that. It was troubling and almost heartbreaking.
“Basteaux… Please.” Her tone was soft and pleading as she looked up at him for several long moments. Finally she lets out a heavy sigh before turning away from him to sit down on the ground. Tucking her knees up and wrapping her arms around them. Daisy flutters over to sit on her shoulder and pats her cheek. “I don’t know what else I can say to you…”
She was trying. She was ‘trying’ in more ways than one, to Basteaux, but as he takes a deep breath of clean air and slowly releases it, his tense shoulders ease. His bow is set on the ground beside her, and a moment later he joins it. He doesn’t speak immediately. Instead he spends a long moment listening to the water run by.
“You’re a warm-hearted soul, Destiney,” he finally says. “I’m alone out here for a reason. Whether or not you agree with that reason is irrelevant. It’s a burden I have borne for all the years so far, and was my own choice to undertake. And I would hate to see someone else hurt or killed because of something I did.” Reaching out, he rests one large hand on Destiney’s head and gives her hair a little ruffle.
“Sometimes you remind me of her. My sister. And I’m honestly not sure what to do about it.” He gives her a sidelong look from the corners of his eyes. “What do you think we should do?”
Destiney was caught by surprise when he actually sat down beside her. She had completely expected him to walk off and leave her here. Blue eyes watched him with curiosity, wondering what he was going to do now. Listening quietly as he spoke.
Hair ruffles! Her eyes widened in surprise. She remembered doing such behavior to her brother when they were little. The action had almost made her completely forget the other things he had said right before it. It took a long moment before she could manage to get her brain to cooperate again.
“Maybe you don’t have to do anything about it really.” She smiles softly an gently nudges him with her shoulder. “I don’t want to try and replace her. I’m not asking for you to leave being out here. Or change your way of life. Well not really beyond letting me be your friend. Letting me help you share the burden even just a little bit. Sometimes all it is, is moments like this. Sitting beside one another and sharing in that feeling of not being alone. That someone cares. Not letting your heart be burden so badly like I found you tonight. It helps with healing to have someone there.”
Remember, darkness does not always equate to evil, just as light does not always bring good.
Bring me your suffering. The battle roar of broken bones. Bring me the riot in your heart. Angry raw and wild. Bring it all. For I am not afraid of the dark …

FEAR. -What are your muses biggest fears? – For Destiney

(Her fears have slightly changed over time but most remain the same. She still fears failing to protect her loved ones and has a fear of slimy/creepy things. She no longer fears fighting against other spoken now. Now though she does fear dying finally. At least dying without a good reason.)
(Thanks for asking! @smokespun )
FEEL. -How does your character react to a persons touch? A random stranger’s? A loved one’s? A friend’s?

(Destiney responds well to touch. A random stranger she would be rather leery on why they are touching her but wouldn’t automatically remove herself unless it is a bad touch. Gentle touches of the hand or arm/shoulder are acceptable. A loved one’s touch comforts her the most. A friend’s touch is also very welcome. Hugs and other comforting touches.)

(Lance is very much restrained about touching. He was actually shocked the first time Tara hugged him. He would move away from a stranger and ask them not to touch him. A friend he avoids touching most of the time but would not ask them not to do it. He’d allow it an just sort of sigh and smile. A loved one… Please hug him! XD He secretly enjoys it.)
