I guess. I have a desire to do something and I do it. My passion drives me. I don’t let those that mock me for a pretty face stop me from being what I want to be or doing the things I wish. I just push and try harder. I don’t like to groan or moan about jobs. They need done and someone has to do them. If not me then who?
“I would like to find what I am meant for in this world. Maybe someday settle down with a person I love. Right now though I am just taking things day by day. I have faith I will find where I belong eventually. What the Twelve wish for me. I know I am still alive because there is a reason. So surely I can achieve whatever that divine plan for me is before I die.”

2. Do others like you? Do you want others to like you?
“I would like to think so. I’m not generally a hard person to like most times. My cousin’s company seems to have accepted me anyways. Soren gave me a key to his apartment to give me a place during this mess with my family. If people like me then it is good. I will not try to make them like me though. If I can not be myself around them then why should I worry about if they like me or not?”

How do you know when you’re in love? (romantic or platonic)
“Hmm. It is difficult to say. I have not yet had a successful romantic relationship to say I know what love should feel like. I tend to keep most at a distance. It is usually just simpler that way with the way my family is.”

Do you think that killing is ever justified?
“Yes of course. There are cases where it is better to kill then to allow that person or creature to live. Alexois is one of them. Jail is too good for him. People like him enjoy causing people pain and agony. He is one that I will gladly feel justified in killing for the crimes he has committed against House Haillenarte and my cousin.”

“I personally believe so. The rank of one’s birth should not grant you rights over someone else just because they are born beneath you. We are all children of the Twelve.”

If you committed a crime, would you accept punishment willingly?
“I… I would like to say that I would. However it depends on the crime I have committed. I have seen a lot of things that could have been handled better. My own commander was almost punished for a crime he was innocent of. He was willing to sacrifice himself if it would protect his House. This is something I do not agree is acceptable.”

What could make you break your own moral code?
“It would have to be something terrible committed against innocents. I hope something like this would never have to happen. I never want to have to worry about putting myself on the wrong side to fix whatever has occurred. I would hope Halone would be merciful to protect myself and others.”

Would you always be loyal to your loved ones even if they wronged you?
“No… I fear I have already proved this. My father sought to harm and kill my cousin. My loyalty to the Aurifore is no more. I am no longer a Aurifore other then in name alone. My loyalty to Haillenarte and my cousin are all that remain.”

What would you consider a fate worse than death?
“To lose… To lose everything I cherish. I have already lost a great deal recently. I have no place to call home and my father is dead. Myself cast out from the only family I had known growing up. I still have things I can lose. I pray that Halone will have mercy on my soul and allow me time to recover now before facing me with more hardship.”

Could you ever forgive your worst enemy?
“No! Alexois does not deserve forgiveness. The things he has done can never be atoned for. I would sooner see him dead then forgiven.”

“Honestly I really am not sure. I guess be happy with the life I’ve led? Maybe some day have a family of my own? I’m still young and I hope I still have many years left to go. I would rather live for the moment then plan for the future. I’ll go down whatever path the gods take me.”
“See Haillenarte restored. To no longer be mocked by those that feel they failed for something beyond their control when they lost the Vigil. Most importantly to help my commander realize his potential. Lord Francel deserves to be more then a shadow under his siblings.”
“As much as I would like to say no… As much as I prefer to say all life is precious… I know that would make me foolish. In some circumstances… There is little choice. Sometimes it comes down to you or them. Or someone you love is in danger if you don’t. I’m not sure it can be classified as justified but when there are few options available… Sometimes it is a necessary evil.”
“Of course. Do you think I would just stand there and allow someone to try and kill me? I will kill to survive if I must. However I am no blood thirsty warrior. I will only kill if needed. To me that is justified because I am defending myself. Some criminals are also justified in being killed. They deserve nothing less for their crimes. I am talking like severe cases such as murderers and traitors. The rest should rot in prison.”
“Yes. Some people are deserving of death. I would not wish to be the hand to merit that justice though. It may come to that though in time with the line of work I am pursuing. Hopefully by that time I will be ready for it. For now I shall continue to let others met out that justice.”
“Being forced to watch those I love be tortured or killed yet not be able to do anything to stop it.” Destiney looks away as she answers quietly, clearly uncomfortable by the question. “I can not… I would wish I was dead rather then watch something so cruel. Yet I know there are people out there that would be that cruel.”
“Being tortured most likely. It is not something I have ever truly stopped to consider. Maybe losing everything I have worked so hard to achieve in my short life” He taps a finger against his tome on the desk as he thinks. His ruby carbuncle rubbing against his leg. “Yet these questions… What purpose do they have? If we are held back by what ifs or what could be, then we are truly stifling ourselves. Fear is a potent thing. Life is unpredictable. All we can do is keep pushing forward and not spend time worrying over such trifling things such as this question.”
“Prison of course. It means the fun has ended. That someone has finally managed to capture me. I’d rather die then rot in some gods forsaken prison. Or even Witchdropped.” Alexois smirks as he sharpens his weapons. “I can’t torture Lancey or his cousin from prison. Can’t even have my steamy fun with Aeri if I’m behind bars. So here’s to not being caught alive.” He laughs boldly.
“Hmm. My desire to protect those I consider family, I suppose. It is a good motivator of course. I could be wrong. I am a terrible judge at what others could possibly admire about me. As for doing something morally wrong… I have years ago. I tried to kill myself and take some soldiers out with me. It is not a choice I am proud of but I have come to accept it a bit better now then I used to.”
“My loyalty and honor of course are worth admiring. Not trying to be conceited of course. It is just something I have heard comments on before. That I am honorable and loyal. It is just what comes to me naturally. I have a strong sense of duty to Haillenarte and those I care about. I have yet to actually do anything… No. That is not entirely true. I sided against my family because what they were doing is morally wrong, Then I took my hurt feelings out on Nathaniel while I was drunk. It was wrong of me. I owe him a apology. Possibly more for my poor behavior.”
(Thanks for Asking! @porcelain-and-blood I know you wanted the other kids too but I don’t feel I have enough to answer for them. Alexois is a villain so he has no admirable traits and does morally wrong stuff all the damn time. XD Stefan and Keaira are still developing so it’s hard to say what would be admirable about them and they definitely haven’t done enough to find something morally wrong they have done. Still thank you. :D)
(For her this is definitely a difficult question. It’s something she won’t say is right or wrong. She’s starting to see her relationship with her ex-husband in this sort of way. She’s sort of begun to doubt she ever truly loved him when she compares what she felt for him to the way she felt for Leon or the way she currently feels about Nathaniel.)
“No. Never.”
“Maybe. I can not say. I do not give relationships much thought. I have studies to return to. Excuse me.”
“Sometimes. I think it depends on the situation. As I’ve heard stories of arranged couples. Surely they have intimate relationships without love. I’m not sure yet what I want for myself though in that regard.”
“Break my own moral code?” Destiney frowns as she looks away. She takes a few steps towards the door before pacing back to where she started from. Her stance uneasy as she ponders her answer to the question. Closing her eyes for a moment of time as she decides. Her blue eyes conflicted as she finally opens her eyes again.
“I swore I’d never kill again. People that is. Swore when I became a healer that I would help rather then harm. But… If those I love or care deeply about are threatened… I think I would be able to find the strength to break that to save their lives. I would rather give up another piece of my soul to save them.” She looks away uncomfortably. Her voice drops almost to a whisper as she adds one final thing. “What is a bit more blood on my hands for the sake of those I love.”
“Moral Code? As in my honor code as a Knight?” Lance taps a finger against his chin in thought. He shakes his head before crossing his arms in front of his chest. “That would difficult indeed. It would have to be something fairly world shattering to make me forsake my code.”
“Although…” He takes a seat in a nearby chair, leaning back so it sits on two legs as he speaks. “Watching innocent people being threatened by authority or those in higher power might as well. As much as I would hate to bring shame to my family name or that of Haillenarte… I think they would eventually forgive me if I sacrificed honor in the name of doing what is right. As much as I would hate to bring shame to Haillenarte when I am trying to do my part to help restore them.”
