“All Saints’ Wake. I don’t see the appeal in dressing in strange clothes and pretending to be fiends. Spooking people is supposed to be fun? I do not understand this thing at all. I will have to try and get Bodge to explain this strangeness to me.”
“Ruins. Simply because you never know where a trap might be or monsters. It heightens the risk of injury or death. Light is a very valuable thing when exploring ruins if you wish to come back alive. Easier to get lost as well which is just as likely to lead to injury or death. Which is why I never go without Esper. His sense of direction is superb.”
“All the sweet things. So much variety. I scarcely know where to start. Especially cake. Chocolate is highly preferred. Chocolate and cake together? Perfect. Speaking of which… I should bug Raiden to make one of his chocolate cakes again soon. It’s been a while since I last asked him.”
“I guess losing the ability to fight. Not just losing in a spar or a fight I can walk away from. Not being able to ever fight back again. I’m not sure what I’d do. I’ve never explored any skills outside of fighting. And I wouldn’t be able to help people or protect them. It’s a scary thought.”
“Not really? I guess it’s hard to be superstitious when you already think the Twelve hate you and you’re their amusement. Makes it hard to believe in most of that ‘bad luck’ superstitious crap. I mean if something if going to happen to me, I’m at least going to try to go out swinging. Not that I plan to go down anytime soon. I like living to piss people off. An to be with Sanagi.”
Lance is silent for a long several moments. “The attack upon me in Coerthas, I only remember bits and pieces of the attack due to a blow to the head. Yet I still have nightmares containing portions of what I do remember. I haven’t been that vulnerable since the attack on the Steel Vigil.”
“Slimey things. Being a healer has sort of gotten me used to dealing with blood and wounds. So that doesn’t creep me out. Just the thing like I mentioned earlier because they are gross and send a chill down my spine. No thanks.”
“If I was to be reincarnated, I would pick to be a bird. Either a song bird or something larger. To be able to soar the skies so freely and travel as far as one’s wings can carry you. I think being a bird would be splendid.”
Ghost: If you could be reincarnated, would you come back as another human or an animal. If an animal, what kind?
“Likely a wolf. Or a dragon. But most likely a wolf. They are very loyal and loving creatures. Or dangerous if you mess with those they claim as theirs. Besides I do believe it would be interesting to see the world through the eyes of a wolf or dragon if I was to be reincarnated.”
“Roommates.” She muses as she puts a hand to her chin in thought. She looks around her room at the Company’s house. “Well I have a spare bed I put in here when I got this room for Chee to stay over from time to time. But if we are talking about who I could imagine as a roommate… Then I would say Moon Dove or maybe Luth. Someone I would love to get to know better. Of course they would have to be a lady to be my roommate. Not that I wouldn’t trust a man. I just wouldn’t want someone to get the wrong idea.” She smiles warmly before shrugging. “I’m afraid I am not the most social of people so I have a very small list of friends outside of the Order.”
“Roommates? You mean actually share a room at a house with others?” Lance asks in confusion as his head tilts just a bit to the side. “Hmm. I guess those of the lower classes probably do that don’t they? It is different then sharing a room when on duty. Because that is duty. But to share such a personal space with another person outside of work?”
Lance gets up from his chair an walks over to the table to pick up his silver kite shield. “Lord Chlodebaimt if he was still alive. Or Ser Haurchefant. Maybe even Lord Commander Aymeric. Even Lord Kistenian. Someone I admire would be the best roommate for me. Would give me an even greater drive to push myself to be better. To work harder. To win their approval with my actions.”
