📷 a memory that comes with a picture they have. (any character)

Lance paused in the study. No one was around today so the room sat empty and hollow. Slow steps drew him closer to the wall where the painting hung. Sky blue eyes looking up at the seemingly happy scene.

A family together. Smiling and happy. Three young children and their proud parents. His brother and youngest sibling still a baby in their mother’s arms. His little sister with a bright and happy smile. His own smile in that picture spoke of a time before he knew hardships and pain.
A time before he had become the black sheep. Before he had been old enough to ruin that happy image.

“What a farce…” Lance mumbled with a sigh as he turned away from that picture. That seemingly happy family couldn’t have ever been as true as that picture tried to claim. His choice of Haillenarte over Dzamael shouldn’t have been enough to ruin that happy image.

Yet a part of him missed those simpler days. Missed the simple joys and carefree life he led back then. Eyes left that painting as he turned to leave the library. Pausing at the door for one last glance back towards that picture. He had left that life behind ages ago now. There was no going back. Time could not erase the gap that had grown between him and his family.

An I will say this… This was reallllllly hard to do for Lance. Most of my music fits Dest more then any other character I have. XD But I did it! I found some fitting of him.)

⚔️- A memory about war

image

All his life war existed between man and dragon.

War was never easy. Yet it was something he had grown up with. He was one of the many who had only known the suffering of the Dragonsong War. Never knowing peace.

He still remembered vividly the day the Steel Vigil fell. One of the many casualties of this long drawn out war. He had still been a relatively fresh face under the command of Chlodebaimt de Haillenarte.

The fall of the Vigil left its scars on him. The memories of teeth and claws and dragon’s fire. Leaving behind the young lord from House Haillenarte as the man made a noble sacrifice to save lives. Losing many who he had begun to get to know. It would ever remain on his thoughts. To him forgetting meant dishonoring the sacrifice Lord Chlodebaimt had made.

Still he found himself returning to the ruins from time to time. Praying to Halone for the spirits of those who passed and the families they had left behind. Looking for signs of Svara or Naul. Reminding himself of the things he fought for.

Memories

D&D: Lancefer Aurifore

(Pretty sure I got tagged for this a while ago an I kept forgetting. I’m a space cadet. Sorry! I believe it was @wowiedima that tagged me. I did one for Dest a while ago so I did it for Lance this time.)

Lawful Good Dwarf Paladin (4th Level)

Ability Scores:
Strength-   17
Dexterity-   16
Constitution-   16
Intelligence-   12
Wisdom-   13
Charisma-   14

Alignment:
Lawful Good-
A lawful good character acts as a good person is expected or required
to act. He combines a commitment to oppose evil with the discipline to
fight relentlessly. He tells the truth, keeps his word, helps those in
need, and speaks out against injustice. A lawful good character hates to
see the guilty go unpunished.  Lawful good is the best alignment you
can be because it combines honor and compassion.  However, lawful good
can be a dangerous alignment when it restricts freedom and criminalizes
self-interest.

Race:
Dwarves are known for their
skill in warfare, their ability to withstand physical and magical
punishment, their hard work, and their capacity for drinking ale.
Dwarves are slow to jest and suspicious of strangers, but they are
generous to those who earn their trust. They stand just 4 to 4.5 feet
tall, but are broad and compactly built, almost as wide as they are
tall. Dwarven men value their beards highly.

Class:
Paladins-
Paladins take their adventures seriously, and even a mundane mission
is, in the heart of the paladin, a personal test an opportunity to
demonstrate bravery, to learn tactics, and to find ways to do good.
Divine power protects these warriors of virtue, warding off harm,
protecting from disease, healing, and guarding against fear. The paladin
can also direct this power to help others, healing wounds or curing
diseases, and also use it to destroy evil. Experienced paladins can
smite evil foes and turn away undead. A paladin’s Wisdom score should be
high, as this determines the maximum spell level that they can cast.
Many of the paladin’s special abilities also benefit from a high
Charisma score.
