Rinoa “&” Lancefer: Rinoa visited Ishgard to tend to an old friend when she spots a handsome Knight that she recognized from before. The closer she got to him, she noticed a new scar on his face. She taps his arm to get his attention, and says hello. She moves her hand up to his cheek and touches his new scar. “Helping another damnsel in distress I see. Oh the pain of seeing such a thing on such a handsome face.” She keeps her hand on his cheek and smiles. “You must be more careful Sir Knight.”

If only that new mark along his jawline was from saving a damsel. No merely from a criminal hiding out in coerthas. It was still healing and he hoped wouldn’t be very noticeable in the long run.

Lance gently took hold of her hand that was touching his cheek and placed a short kiss on the back of her hand. Giving her one of his most charming smiles even. “Thank you for your concern, my fair lady. I have been dealt worse then this scratch. A bit of ill luck is all but Halone was watching over me to make sure I survived.”

Leave it to Lance to be ever the gentleman. Of course he was in Ishgard
right now which meant he was always on his best behavior. He was a
knight for Haillenarte. His actions would reflect upon them, good or
bad.

Rinoa “&” Alexois: Rinoa walks into a bar that she visits when she is in town, when she spots a mysterious Elezen that she has never seen before. His brute attitude reminded her of a friend, so she decided to see if he would talk to her. The closer she got, she spots a newly added cut/scar on his arm, her being a healer, she is quick to want to help him. As she walks up to him, she lifts her hand and then runs a finger across the scar, “Does it hurt?” She blushed a bit seeing his top unbuttoned.

It had been a minor wound though long. Yet another one to add to the many scars hidden beneath clothes. This was was just clearly more visible then most. With it not being something that would kill him, he’d taken time to stop for a few drinks. Just how he usually behaved when an injury wasn’t life threatening.

He was paying just enough attention to realize someone had come up beside him at the bar. But not enough to notice right away that it was a pretty woman. He was quick to pull his arm away from her with a soft growl when her fingers touched it. Finally looking over and raising a brow at the pretty elezen.

“Do you always just touch people who might hit you for it?” There was actually a slight hint of amusement to his tone as he looked her over. Though his expression was still more of a frown. “No it doesn’t hurt. Not much does after a few glasses of whiskey. Why are you concerned with a stranger anyways? Unless… You’re looking for a different kind of attention.” Now he smirked as he raised his glass up to take a drink.

Virae was still someone he hadn’t known for very long. Maybe a month now? Yet he trusted her. Like him, she shared the emotional scars of abuse as well as the physical ones. She was someone he found he wanted to protect. As rare as that happened being who Alex was.

She had come by to check on him. Or maybe he had hinted at wanting her to come by for a minor injury. Maybe so he could check on her. Almost not trusting her to still be alright after the scare the week before. Yet too proud to admit that was really why he wanted her to come by.

The moment her hand touched across one of the old scars, a hand reached out and grabbed her wrist. His growl was soft and his grip was firm but not painfully so. He looked troubled for a long moment before pulling Virae close and hugging her. Reminding himself she was still alive.

“Sorry, Virae. Just… Don’t touch those. Please…” He wasn’t ready to let Virae touch those scars. Not yet.

Normally Alex went to Sanagi when he got injured. It had become a regular thing with them now. Today he had her make a house call.

Letting her work as he always did. He was used to her presence and touch. When her fingers traced over one of the old scars… His hand snapped up to grab her hand. His touch though was gentle, yet restrained. A simple reaction because none of the scars he bore was earned gently. A part of him though recognized Sanagi as someone he trusted and was able to keep himself from hurting her.

“Sana…” His eyes looked conflicted as he first looked at her and then down to his hand holding hers. Slowly he withdrew his hand as he closed his eyes. “I’m sorry… I didn’t mean to startle you.”

(Got to answer this one OOCly. Alex will -not- discuss his feelings so openly. Not unless you are someone he trusts. He doesn’t trust a lot of people.

For Alex is depends on who he just killed and why. The more personal the kill the more he suffers for it. There are many kills he doesn’t think twice about. Killing doesn’t often bother him. It’s a part of life. The strong survive and the weak die.

Though if it is like the Slavers he was hunting the other week… That was a little more personal because he ended up friending Virae. The Slavers were tied to ones who had abused her. It hit a little too close to home for Alex. He was angry and hurt. It reminded him too much of his own past and that left him reeling a bit. It left him feeling very raw and vulnerable. Which makes him seem hostile and cold to even friends because he doesn’t like to be seen as weak.)

Corrupt Ishgardian highborns.” A simple shrug of his shoulders as he lights a smoke, smirking. “No one deserves the fate those bastards make people suffer. I ain’t no good guy and it takes a monster to kill one. So I’ll be their worst nightmare.”

Alex huffs softly and looks away. Arms crossed over his chest with a clear frown on his face. “Not often. I’m not exactly a man of mercy. Most of the time. I guess… The time I didn’t kill the waste of life that is my father. My half-brother’s mother was begging and pleading for his worthless life. I guess you can say I spared him only because neither of us had the life we wanted. Not my father. My half-brother. We both suffered cause of him but… His mother seemed to care where mine never did. I never knew him but I guess one can consider this my way of acknowledging him and the fact we both had to deal with this worthless sperm donor of a father.”

Thaliak the Scholar:  How important is education to your character? 

“Very important. I am a healer and a member of a team that does odd assorted jobs to help others. Having the knowledge to be able to deal with patients that need non-aetherical healing or knowing the information about a region. Those are important. So education is definitely a big thing for me.”

Byregot, the Builder:   Does your character have any constructive hobbies? 

(Already answered this question earlier. XD Just noticed it was on here too. This is what happens when I forget to answer things in my box for so long.)

Oschon the Wanderer:  Does your character ‘go with the flow’ or do they tend to follow their own path? 

“I would say I am a little of both depending upon the situation.”

“I have several things I enjoy as hobbies in my downtime from work. Such as I do some botany. As well as I study ways to improve my healing skills. Someday I might open a small clinic as a hobby. Mostly because I know someday I will have to set aside adventuring. But not yet.”

(Stefan is the most artistic of the group. However he is not open at all about it except around people he has come to trust. That number so far is very small. He enjoys music and painting. Mostly his audience is his carbuncles.)
