Just some random screenshots of Dest. Mostly being silly while waiting on queues. Just don’t have the energy to deal with Dest’s current state IC tonight. XD
Lance paused in the study. No one was around today so the room sat empty and hollow. Slow steps drew him closer to the wall where the painting hung. Sky blue eyes looking up at the seemingly happy scene.
A family together. Smiling and happy. Three young children and their proud parents. His brother and youngest sibling still a baby in their mother’s arms. His little sister with a bright and happy smile. His own smile in that picture spoke of a time before he knew hardships and pain.
A time before he had become the black sheep. Before he had been old enough to ruin that happy image.
“What a farce…” Lance mumbled with a sigh as he turned away from that picture. That seemingly happy family couldn’t have ever been as true as that picture tried to claim. His choice of Haillenarte over Dzamael shouldn’t have been enough to ruin that happy image.
Yet a part of him missed those simpler days. Missed the simple joys and carefree life he led back then. Eyes left that painting as he turned to leave the library. Pausing at the door for one last glance back towards that picture. He had left that life behind ages ago now. There was no going back. Time could not erase the gap that had grown between him and his family.
(I did this for Dest back before it took off as something really popular that @jonahsage started an people added on to. An then I got tagged as it made it’s rounds. An I will say this… This was reallllllly hard to do for Lance. Most of my music fits Dest more then any other character I have. XD But I did it! I found some fitting of him.)
